A new meeting for all
In 2001, following the adoption by UNESCO of the universal declaration on cultural diversity, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed May 21 as World Day for Cultural Diversity. It is therefore within this framework that the Toulouse Town Hall has decided to organize, for its part, the Month of the World. The objective of this event is to make known the wealth artistic, intellectual, gastronomic and sporting from the different cultures of the globe; which offers a program rich in colors and flavors with very varied events aimed at all audiences.
A "highlight" day planned at Place du Capitole
Among the highlights of this 1st edition of Month of the World, thevillage of cultural diversity will open its doors on Sunday May 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Place du Capitole. "Events, artistic workshops, exhibitions, concerts, many associations will be on site to introduce the public to world cultures.", announces Toulouse Town Hall about this special day. p>
A 100% eclectic program until July 12
The program is extremely rich and varied, the image of all the cultures that surround us: participants will be able to attend, free or not, conferences, musical shows, exhibitions, concerts, festivals for children and adults, film screenings and documentaries, or even debates...
Photo exhibition Humans of Chinatown at the Espace Diversités Laïcité (rue d'Aubuisson) to the All Skills – Battles, which mix circus arts, urban cultures and West Africa, including Tangopostale to a film and gastronomy evening on Ukrainian Cuisine or even by the 12th season of the Indian festival of colors Holi… Dozens of cultural events will thus be offered to Toulouse residents until July 12, 2024.
