Toulouse Plages, the major popular summer event organized by Toulouse City Hall, returns from July 6 to August 25 for a new edition full of surprises, new features and centered around the 2024 Olympic Games!
Toulouse Plages extends to the Reynerie lake and its water sports center
A summer and family event not to be missed, Toulouse Plages is back until August 25 at the Port Viguerie and at Ramée Plage, at Prairie des Filtres (from 7/20) and the big new feature of the year: at the Lac de la Reynerie.
Indeed, the operation "A summer by the lake" broadens the range of possibilities by offering a rich and varied program: concerts, shows, workshops, open-air cinema, sports and water activities… And many more activities organized from Place Abbal to the Château de la Reynerie.
Activities related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games
"Objective? Offer a summer à la carte: sporty, fun or relaxing with a full program of free activities for all!", promises the town hall.
Toulouse Plages is also the opportunity to enjoy, with friends, family, tribe or solo, even more free and new activities under the sign of the Olympic Games.
This year, and in view of the sporting event that is being prepared in Paris, the Prairie des Filtres offers an Olympic and Paralympic space suitable for all and dedicated to Olympic activities and challenges: 3x3 basketball (3x3 field of the Occitanie Basketball League), breakdancing, athletics, rowing, badminton, kayaking, football, trampoline, handball, rugby, table tennis, beach volleyball…
Aquatic and group activities for children
"The Toulouse Plages area has been reduced to the Prairie des Filtres. The western part, located on the Fer à Cheval side, where the park's children's games are located, will remain freely accessible throughout the summer, allowing everyone to enjoy a public garden open to all on the banks of the Garonne," says Toulouse City Hall.
And when you say Toulouse Plages, you say water games and children's games installed at the Prairie des Filtres. As part of Toulouse + fraîche, a refreshing area made up of 9 jets and 7 water games in a 100 m² closed and secure structure is also accessible to all. For children over 10 years old, supervised group activities: orienteering, discogolf, juggling, dancing, traditional games or even new climbing structures and a giant zip line and trampolines... are also on the program!
On the Ramée side, with its fine sand and clear water, the beach is one of the must-see spots in the summer. The people of Toulouse can cool off there in complete peace, within the perimeter supervised by lifeguards, every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and until 8 p.m. in case of heatwave.
The return of the Ferris Wheel
The installation of Toulouse Plages in the Ville rose also marks the return of the Ferris Wheel to the Port Viguerie, which will remain on site, near the Racine guinguette, until September 11.
Overlooking the Garonne with its majestic size, this unbeatable attraction brings curious young and old alike every day to discover Toulouse from the sky. Breathtaking views and thrills guaranteed!
A 2024 edition marked by the Olympic Games, but also by relaxation and freshness thanks to the installation of shade structures which will effectively allow you to make the most of the beach and many activities on sunny days!
