This Saturday, April 20, 2024, “Record Store Day” will take place in the center -Toulouse city. A national event, it highlights independent record stores which, for those who participate, offer collectible vinyls in store. But that's not all, screeningsand musical evenings are also organized!

A hunt for collectible vinyls not to be missed
The Disquaire Day comes from a reflection on the evolution of the distribution of music and the disappearance of many independent record stores. The arrival of the CD and then digital platforms marked a considerable turning point. But the passionate record stores are still present and take advantage of this annual spring event to unveil collector's vinyls. In Toulouse, for the 14th edition you can discover them at Vicious Circle Shop, Croc Vinyl, Paul Emile Vinyls, New Bullitt and Gibert Joseph.
The perfect opportunity for collectors tounearth some gems and for the most novice to discover new musical styles.
An event for music lovers… but also cinema!
The Utopia art house cinema offers the screening of the documentary “Dig!”. Something to delight those who are also fans of cinemas.
In this documentary film, Ondi Trimoner, the director followed for 7 years two independent musical groups: the Dandy Wharols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre . All in total immersionwith more than 1500 hours of images. Torn between the thirst for notoriety and their artistic aspirations, we discover their rivalry, as well as the underbellyof their stage life and personal.
The "Day" Record Store continues into the "Night"
Not far from Utopia, the event continues into the evening at Metronum.First of all with a exchange timefrom 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the group SuperHomard and Julien Gascon the subject of French artists mentored by American labels. p>
Then head to the Great Hall from 8 p.m. to see guests such as Sean O'Hagan and Maxwell Farrington on stage. Toulouse record stores then offer a DJ set in the company of composer Pascal Comelade.
bars are also available the part with the organization of musical evenings notably at l'Autruche, a brasserie in the Saint-Aubin district which offers a DJ set “That's All Good” (Feel Groove Music) from 10 p.m. L'Évasion Bar will also be there for a Kitsch Vinyle Party with Mr Brun and La Mascanha.
