These 10 iconic and iconic Toulouse party spots that still exist

If you were born in the 90s (or even before), you must have known these 10 Toulouse addresses that still exist and continue to set the Ville Rose alight from the south (or from midnight) until the early hours of the morning! True institutions or timeless party places for over 65 years, Toulouse has not aged a day (it)!

1 – Chez Tonton (1958) / La Couleur de la Culotte (2001) / Le Saint des Seins (2006)

All three located on Place Saint-Pierre in Toulouse, they are three emblematic bars belonging to the same person: Françoise Pujo. After taking over Chez Tonton in 1979 (on the death of its creator Léon Toulet) and renaming it Chez Tonton – Pastis Ô Maître, the latter took over the neighbouring bar, La Couleur de la Culotte in 2001, then Saint des Seins in 2006 (café-concert and open stage with a rock’n’roll and student atmosphere). A winning and complementary trio that has been getting the people of Toulouse moving for years!

2 – L’Ubu Club – creation date : 1959

Here, we can talk about a real institution since this nightclub (or rather this club) has been making crowds dance since 1959: from locals to tourists and even real stars (Jean Dujardin has already set foot on the Ubu Club). A legendary meeting place for clubbers, the establishment, made up of several rooms, vaults and bricks, still has many good days (or rather good nights) ahead of it!

3 – Le Wallace – creation date: 2008

It may not be very old, but it is one of the most popular cafés in the Ville Rose. While the days of Garden Parties at Wallace seem to be over, this place sees millions of customers (from schoolchildren to retirees) who enjoy the terrace during the day as much as the bar in the early evening. A place of life and celebration that has never stopped working!

5- Le Quartier Latin - creation date: 1997

When Toulouse's HQ is called the QL. More than just a (tapas) bar, the Quartier Latin created by a true Toulousain, Thierry de Saint-Sernin (also at the head of the Grand Café du Stade Toulousain) is without a doubt one of the most frequented places by young people (and not so young) since 1997. Besides, who has never started by nibbling and having a drink at the Quartier Latin before finishing their evening at the Ubu?

9- The Florida – date of creation: 1874

Known for being a A particularly touristy and well-located café, under the arcades of the Place du Capitole, the Florida also had its festive hours, such as at the time when the Pink Moët & Chandon evenings were organized with the following on the program: musicians, a crazy atmosphere and champagne!Although this event is now a thing of the past, Le Roof, created in 2000 and located on the first floor of the Florida, is still relevant and continues to attract nightlife enthusiasts!

10- Le Café Populaire - creation date: 2001

< p>This is a bar popular with students for its relaxed atmosphere, affordable prices and upstairs room for dancing. With its wooden tables (which are a bit sticky), its walls tagged on all sides and its pints to drink in plastic cups, the place is reminiscent of Chez Tonton and thus still pleases everyone who frequents it.Especially since Le Café Pop is open all week, including Sundays!
