An exhibition on the "Carnivals of the world"
Initiated by the COCU (Organizing Committee of the Unified Carnival), the Toulouse Carnival returns for a new year which promises to be full of events. Starting with a unique exhibition on “Carnivals of the world”. Meet from Thursday March 21 to Tuesday April 30 at 38 rue Roquelaine (Toulouse) to discover the richness and diversity of the carnivals of our near and distant neighbors: from Albi, to Barcelona, by the way through Berlin, Brussels, Cayenne, Dunkirk, Edinburgh, Limoux, London, Paris, Rotterdam and of course, Venice... All the carnivals in the world will no longer hold any secrets for you!
A children's carnal with activities of all kinds
Wednesday March 27, time for madness, games and fun good mood ! The Children's Carnival will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jardin Raymond VI (Toulouse) and for the occasion, a multitude of activities are planned(by registration only): treasure and egg hunts, concerts from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., games with the Ludothèque, angling stand, makeup stand, screen printing on fabric with Frissons & Hanneton (bring a t-shirt or tote bag)... A crazy and chocolatey afternoon (in partnership with Cacaofages) with smiles, sun, music and happy children in costumes !
The Great Parade of the COCUs
The party continueson Saturday March 30 with the COCUs Grand Parade from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The traditional parade in the streets of the Pink City will start from Place Arnaud Bernard and should go to the Ramblas Jean-Jaurès to the delight of young and old who will have to be dressed... all in pink! A show that promises to be grandiose based on batucada, traditional music, Latin American folk music, but also dances...
The detailed program:
From 6 p.m.: discover the floats and all the thirty participants in the 2024 Toulouse Carnival parade;
From 7:30 p.m.:
- Handover of the key to the city by the Mayor to the President of COCU,
- Departure of the parade from Place Arrnaud Bernard > Joan of Arc > Jean Jaurès,
- Finale on the Rambla Jean-Jaurès with concerts and dance until 11:45 p.m.
