Street art: 40 artists from the urban art scene take over a 3,500m2 venue in the heart of Toulouse for the 4th edition of the LayUp Festival

< span>The Layup urban art festival returns for a 4th edition, on May 2, in an XXL location in the heart of Toulouse. For the occasion, around forty artists offering a complete panorama of the current urban art scene responded to participate in this unique experience open to all. Between art and other activities for young and old, the program for these two months promises to be rich!

A season in XXL format in the heart of the Pink City

Building on its success in previous editions, the 4th season of Layup sees even bigger plans in 2024 with a site XXL made available by Novaxia Investissement in downtown Toulouse. Former Orange premises and pending a buyer, this 3,500 m2 location located in Saint-Michel, will be therefore completely transformed by artists from the local and international scene, with monumental frescoes, in situ installations, exhibitions of paintings and photographs or even live graphic animations.

< p>This large-scale and urban culture projectis therefore an open-air exhibition dedicated to urban art, and a place of exchange and discovery for young and old curious people, amateurs or passionate about (urban) art… All in a good vibes, festive, friendly and gourmet atmosphere!

A Kids area and a food court

The idea is to create distinct spaces for the public, with precise and distinct themes. Thus, the two open halls would only accommodate monumental frescoes, as well as large installations; the exhibition space as well as the free expression walls would be located along Boulevard André Delacourtie in a more secure room.

The exhibition is also intended for families , funand open to all generations, a Kids space will be installed to give pride of place to children and let them express themselves through different artistic activities and Graff for little ones and teens with a local artist.

The food court, installed along the two halls, will create a nice and gourmet place where visitors can chat and sit for as long as they want and without pressure, eat at the food truck or simply have a drink between two rooms.

An easily accessible and inclusive event

Event which aims (in particular) to "desecrate" art and make it accessible to all wallets, entries are often free to participate so that the financial aspect is not a barrier.

Project also inclusive and wanting to open the discipline to those who do not necessarily have access to it, the organizing teams are keen to work in close collaboration with socio-cultural structures such as the youth institute blind people, JAL, arts en act, Racaille or Each one…
