For its 29th year, the Rio Loco is moving to the Prairie des Filters from June 12 to 16, 2024 A festival to be enjoyed with family or friends in this true green lung of downtown Toulouse transformed into a place of celebration and inclusive life open to all generations. The Toulouscope editorial team takes you on this new musical journey called “Odyssea” (the odyssey), going from France to Spain via the Maghreb countries, without forgetting Turkey, the 'Italy, Greece, Croatia and many others.

#1 - A festival in " 6 odysseys" for a musical journey without borders
This 2024 edition is made up of four stages (Garonne, Pont-Neuf, Onda Mix and Prairie), which will welcome more than thirty artists from six different worlds: from jazz through raï.
- The Mediterranean odyssey: A first singular adventure which marks the opening of the event, on the Pont-Neuf Stage, with a hypnotizing concert by the group Le Cri du Caire and the Franco-Swiss jazz trumpeter, Erik Truffaz.
- L' odyssey of the divas or a tribute to Dalida: Barbara Pravi will perform her own creation “Dalida, gypsy diva”; Luz Casalwill sing Dalida 'A mi < span>manera' and < /span>will cover the greatest titles of the timeless French icon; On June 15, the renowned artist Olivia Ruiz will return in force, after seven years of absence, with her new album "La Réplique ". Concerts to discover on the Pont-Neuf Stage.
- The odyssey of Mediterranean rap : It's a journey between the Maghreb and Marseille with the rappers < strong>Tif and his guests (Flenn, RimK, Djam), ElGrandeToto or even Soso Manness, Don Choa and many others expected on the Pont Stage -New.
- The electro odyssey: Change decor and atmosphere since here (and in particular) the DJ Kornelia Binicewicz, the group Lalalar (Scène Prairie), Vanda Forte, then Acid Arab – accompanied by Sofiane Saidi, Cem Yildiz and Ghizlaine Melih – will entertain the public on the Onda Mix Stagefor electro pop evenings, experimental, oriental, psychedelic and even tribal…
- The Toulouse odyssey: It is a special discovery scene (aka the Garonne Scene) imagined to highlight the (new and future) talents of the Pink City. For the occasion, the Toulouse Berber rock group Tiwiza (which is celebrating its 10th anniversary), Mouss and Hakim, sTeReø KoMPáS (an improbable duo from Toulouse), and well others will be there.
- The odyssey of the pitchouns: This is the new artistic and cultural education project around choral singing carried by the Metronum as part of the Rio Loco Suitcase. The group "Muthos", made up of two young people from Toulouse, will be present on the Garonne Stage to tell the story in music.
No less than 39 events will take place at the Prairie des filters where an open-air space will be dedicated to families, and especially to little ones, with its fun and interactive installations!
#2 - Barrio loco: the return of the "off" festival in the bars of Toulouse
" This year will mark the return of the “Barrio Loco”, emblem of the Toulouse Convivencia, so that the music resonates in all the neighborhoods!", Jean-Luc Moudenc, mayor of Toulouse.
The festival takes place throughout the city! From May 18 to June 15, 2024, 32 Barrio Loco events extend the echo of the Rio Loco festival in Toulouse and its surroundings, including the odyssey of the Bar-Bars collective, the concert-balls in media libraries or the 10th “KatchaKatcha” in St-Cyprien. Meet in the bars, associative cultural cafés and other symbolic places of the Pink City or in the municipal libraries to attend unique concerts.
#3 - Salsa: a gastronomic offer proposed by Toulouse chefs< /h2>
Welcome to another universe: that of Salsa, or the culinary event of the Rio Loco festival! During these five days of madness, seven renowned chefs from Occitania will put their talents to work for a taste bud dance. Simon Carlier from Solides will make a couscous; Rodolphe Lafarge du Souk will make mezzes; Olivier Gaudry from Macaroni will make gnocchi; Marina Bounoure from Biquette will make keftas; Akila Bernaoui of the chorba; Vicent Louw from Superette will make the burgers and Marie Dupuy from Les Mordus will make the octopus. For his part, Benjamin Böhle-Roitelet, owner of the Nebuchadnezzar bar and founder of the Salsa collective (with Mikael Lecumberry), will offer natural wines.

For this 2024 edition, the Scène Garonne will receive local artists, but also emerging artists from the region via the musical springboard RIFFX< /a>, Crédit Mutuel music platform. The opportunity to support and encourage young talents to reveal themselves on the stage of the Rio Loco festival since the winner of the competition will perform for a set of 30 minutes on the Garonne Stage.
