The 20th edition of the European Night of Museums will take place on Saturday May 18, 2024 throughout France (and in particular in Toulouse). An unmissable annual and cultural event, it allows the public, of all ages and backgrounds, to visit thousands of museums for free and at night. Young and old people from Toulouse are thus invited to see the places with a new eye and are also kept alert by new tours, guided and enlightened visits, original outdoor entertainment, live shows, music, culinary art, projections and other unusual festivities…
An exceptional competition to sleep at the Museum
At the Museum, young people take the lead: from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the visit of the place will be made by middle and high school students. A way to put into practice their learning about the art of mediation. They will also present to the public works on which they have worked during the year. But that's not all, an exceptional competition will take place during this evening: the winner will be able to sleep at the Museum! To do this, during the visit you will have to stay attentive and discover the 10 letters hidden in the exhibition rooms. The winner will be able to spend the night on site and choose up to four people to accompany her. Enough to live an exceptional experience, with family or friends.

Entertainment for children, retro gaming evening and futuristic artistic performances at Quai Des Savoirs
A varied program is available to discover at Quai des Savoirs, including the nighttime opening of Quai des Petits. From 7 p.m., 2-7 year-olds will be able to manipulate, explore, tinker… A fun and playful way to approach science.
The exhibition “AI: Double Je”, which presents current developments and research into artificial intelligence, will be accessible until one in the morning! Giant Gameboys, game & arcade terminals, and more. watch XXL will also be there for a retro gaming evening at the Plateau créatif!
