A green retreat. Nestled in the heart of Toulouse, the Halles de la Transition offer an XXL space where conviviality, festivity, solidarity and creativity blend. Open to all, this unique third place composed of La Cantine des Halles, a new guinguette and a co-working space reveals itself as the lively and unmissable meeting place for committed Toulousains (or those on the path to commitment). The Toulouscope editorial team opens the doors to this ideal place for families, lovers, friends and even solo travelers.
(Third) place of life, ecology and events
Les Halles de la Transition, located on the Compans-Caffarelli side in the city center of Toulouse, embody a real place of life where various activities open to all are combined: whether you are a professional or an individual passionate about ecology, a defender of solidarity, or simply looking for inspiration.
To raise awareness about this ecological transition, several events are therefore planned throughout of the season: evenings to discover regional products, lively workshops, different frescoes such as the climate fresco to decipher environmental issues…
A busy festive programme
While Les Halles remains a place that aims to turn the people of Toulouse towards a greener and more united future, its programme is also eclectic and festive. Indeed, this summer, enjoy an afterwork every Thursday with a musical atmosphere in a guinguette atmosphere while tasting tasty tapas, creative cocktails, craft beers and natural wines.
On 2 August, you can already expect the Beers & Burgers, with on the menu: tasty vegetarian burgers and local craft beers for only 5 euros!
To end the week, come every Sunday to enjoy the traditional savory brunch followed by an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet, all accompanied by a cocktail for €29 per person.
Les Halles de la Transition remain open throughout the month of August!
La Cantine des Halles, a slow food and seasonal restaurant
La Cantine des Halles de la Transition, open only at lunchtime, displays a menu of vegetarian and quality products, ultra-sourced (therefore local) and seasonal ingredients and thus embodies a 100% sustainable and well-being commitment. At lunchtime, the head chef offers several starters, main courses and desserts, all entirely homemade.
The new feature for 2024: the cozy guinguette
Who says summer season, says guinguette. La Guinguette des Halles, newly nestled in the little hidden garden, welcomes the public and promises moments of relaxation thanks to its pétanque corner, darts or mölkky games, but also the bar. A little haven of peace in the center of Toulouse in which it is therefore possible to eat all day long, to chill out with friends or family or alone and to chat in complete tranquility.
For a friendly moment between colleagues, for a birthday or even a wedding, do not hesitate to ask the team to privatize the guinguette!
A suitable coworking space
Need to work away from prying eyes? Or simply want to export your computer outside your home? In addition to being a canteen, a guinguette and a venue for events, Les Halles de la Transition provides workspaces, with the possibility of coming for a day or half-day or taking advantage of a subscription offering unlimited access 24/7.
Regardless of the option chosen, you will also have access to screens, printers, sockets and Wi-Fi for maximum productivity, as well as unlimited organic coffee or tea.
Les Halles de la Transition is therefore the Toulouse address that pleases young and old engaged citizens, but also (and above all) the planet!
