Gospel Touch: the unmissable African-American music festival returns from March 15 to 17!

With the arrival of spring... The return of the festival Gospel Touch! Anchored on the banks of the Touch, in Tournefeuille, this unmissable festival returns to make lovers of African-American culture sing and dance. From March 15 to 17, R'n'B, Soul and Gospel rhythms will vibrate the Phare room for the 11th edition.

On March 15, 16 and 17, the gospel and African-American music festival returns for its 11th edition! With its growing success, it has becomea must in the region. Whether for the curious or the convinced, the festival takes usto discover artists inspired by African-American culture and gospel. On the program: concerts, singing courses, conferences... And a moment of sharing between professional and amateur singers!

3 evenings, 3 atmospheres!

This year, the festival is focused on dance... Each of the 3 evenings will have its own musical identity... strong> We'll let you discover!

On Friday March 15, we return to the roots of Jazz with a first evening dedicated to swing! During the opening concert, let's go back in time:head to the 1950s, in a Parisian jazz club withthe group Tchikiswing. Guitar, clarinet, double bass... Enough to warm up the spirits for the rest of the program!

The Pupinni Sisters will host the evening from 8:30 p.m.: the British trio goes back another 10 years, to the 1940s with its retro, glamorous and burlesque style! Created in 2004, the group is considered one of the best close harmony groups in the world... After King Charles, will you be their next fan?

On Saturday, we travel to South Africa with an evening dedicated to Gospel. The evening will open at 7:30 p.m. with a warm show hosted by Kaô Zile. From 8:30 p.m.,the local choir One Heart Gospeland the South African groupHumanitic Wind of Sowetowill ignite the Lighthouse stage, for an unforgettable moment of sharing with the public !

The last day will begin at 4 p.m. with the contemporary gospel of the choir Gospel'n Life Harmony: their ultra-dynamic choreographies and their traditional Gospel punctuated by ahypervitaminized choir director will not leave you sitting for long!

And finally, this enchanted weekend will end with the concert of Paint It Blues: musicians fascinated by Blues, Soul and Rhythm and Blues accompanied by a shivering singer...

Gospel for everyone with a course on Saturday

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced singer, a gospel fan or a neophyte,come and share an exceptional moment of singing and energy during the day on SaturdayFrom 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a course welcomes all- are the curious at the Red Room of the Lighthouse: a unique opportunity to discover South African singing and dancing,hosted by Humanistic Wind of Soweto...The most courageous will perform on stage during of the big Gospel evening the same evening!

A musical conference on Wednesday March 13

From Wednesday March 13, the Tournefeuille media library offers, in partnership with the Gospel'n Soul association 31 and the Gospel touch Festival, to discover the musical history of South Africa through a musical conference led by Loïc Geffray, specialist in Gospel and mixed music.

South Africa, often called the “Rainbow Nation”, is rich in an extraordinary history and many years of struggle against Apartheid,it is one of the richest nations in terms of musical diversity and the mixing of genres. Discover the conference “the rainbow music of South Africa” from 4 p.m.!
