Yoshi Sushi is 20 years old, while Dozo has just been born. Located on the second (and last) floor of Yoshi Sushi, this new gem located in the city center of Toulouse guarantees a change of scenery with a menu and decoration made in Japan. We introduce you to this bistro, more commonly known as izakaya, in the land of the rising sun.
A new Japanese bar has just opened in Toulouse
Yoshi Sushi , installed at the corner of rue de Metz and rue Alsace-Lorraine, is almost 20 years old; which makes it a real institution in Toulouse and a legendary address for sushi lovers. Designed on several floors, this restaurant received a makeover at the beginning of January 2024 by renovating its top floor into an izakaya, that is to say a typical Japanese brasserie and generally crowded in the evening. Called Dozo which means "I beg you", it is therefore the extension of Yoshi Sushi and thus offers a new afterwork meeting place to Toulouse residents. p>
On the menu: Japanese dishes and a DJ
On the menu of < strong>Dozo: varied starters based on gyozas or salads, hot dishes, sushi, makis, sashimi or even (large) dozo makis (those that we flambé before your eyes)... the menu is varied, deliciously concocted, 100% Japanese and to share with friends or colleagues, in tapas style.

Open every day from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. during the week, until 2 a.m. on Friday and 3 a.m. on Saturday, this place, as trendy and elegant as it is exotic, is a bistro that allows everyone to come and relax, snack, drink a drink (or a Japanese beer) after work and even enjoying a DJ on certain Saturday evenings.
A subdued and immersive atmosphere
Here it is not just the menu that takes customers on a journey, the immersive atmosphere Also. With its breathtaking view of the Augustins Museum and panoramic view of the Pink City, its subdued lights, the umbrellas that cover the ceiling and the typical posters, Alexandre wanted to recreate a real izakaya local. Enough to spend a relaxed and friendly time, like in a real neighborhood izakaya...
"An izakaya is a small Japanese bar on a very dark street corner that brings colleagues or friends together for a bite to eat", explains the owner, Alexandre, who also runs Hinodé at 17 Rue d'Austerlitz.
