Toulouse is transformed for 3 days
This is a first experience for the Pink City! This year, the Toulouse Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), in partnership with Toulouse Métropole and Toulouse Town Hall, is organizing a festive and friendly event for all audiences: Toulouse Commerces en Fête. Here, the objective is not to reproduce a music festival or the famous Grande Braderie, but to attract crowds (well beyond the metropolis) who have not gone on vacation and to give a boost thumbs up to merchants who remained open. And of course, if it is successful, this extraordinary event will be repeated in 2025.
"Retailers will be able to use the space as they wish: new collection, demonstration of their know-how, activities..."
From Thursday May 9 to Saturday May 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., < strong>the hyper center of Toulouse (closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) will therefore be dedicated solely to shops and free events of all kinds.
During this Ascension Bridge, in addition to traders who will display their products and know-how in front of their shops , themed musical stages will be installed in three strategic locations: place St-Georges with Hispanic and Latin music and on Saturday an urban dance battle, place de la Trinité with a jazz tendency, and rue d'Alsace-Lorraine in a pop rock atmosphere.
Every day, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., three groups of "artists will therefore go on these fixed stages to "animate this central perimeter on the occasion of the Ascension weekend", Jean-Christophe Ramis told us, who specified that he These will be 30-minute show sessions with an hour's break between each, until the end of the day.
