Attention to nature, thrill and mountain lovers! On March 12, at Pathé Wilson, Toulouse residents will be able to attend the BANFF festival, coming straight from Canada. A screening ofsix filmsdedicated to outdoor sports, the mountains and its unique sensations await you. Three hours of escape guaranteed.

Base jumping, climbing, skiing, mountain biking: sport in the four corners of the world like you've never seen it

You will follow a passionate mountain biking in the heart of the British Columbia landscapes. You will explore the rocks of the Sierra Nevada thanks to climbing. You will be at the heart of a ski and snowboard expedition in little-known Kyrgyzstan. You will experience the crazy sensations of base jumping in Pakistan.

You will also enjoy images of two unique exploits: cross-country skiing in tandem, as well as the first north-south crossing of Canada in Nordic skiing, canoeing and cycling! Special mention for the film “Soundscape” which traces the ascent of an outstanding climber who became blind, guided by echolocation a>, attacking a formidable American summit. Exciting.

It’s an exhilarating immersive experience that awaits spectators during the three hours of screening - with intermission. On display: six films dedicated to outdoor sport, nature and its inhabitants, adventure and surpassing oneself. The BANFF festival, named after the national park located in the province of Alberta in Canada, was created in 1976. Every fall, this literary and cinematographic event fascinates Canadians who have the chance to watch around hundred films (400 are submitted for selection in advance) during the nine screening days. The most popular travel the world, and participate in a world tour across more than 40 countries. Toulouse is on its route on March 12, alongside 26 other French cities.
