An ephemeral, unique and interactive exhibition installed near the Place du Capitole until May 25

In 10 years, Toulouse has changed a lot. To show the general public this impressive transformation, an exhibition entitled "10 years of progress for Toulouse: a city in transformation" can be discovered without further delay until May 25, 2024, at Square Charles de Gaulle .

Toulouse celebrates 10 years of change!

What has happened since 2014, when the Pink City took over by the (current) mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc? To take stock of the urban transformation, the Toulouse town hall is organizing a unique and completely free exhibition for all; “even if there are not many young people who dare to enter the dome”, told us a member of the team who was on site all day to answer all questions. To visit until Saturday May 25, 2024 every day (except May 1) from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Square Charles de Gaulle (behind Place du Capitole).

An interactive and immersive exhibition

To best explore this last decade, the Visitors are invited to use interactive and modern equipment. Indeed, for this 100% local cultural event, an easy-to-use multimedia device was installed: alarge format screenwhich continuously broadcasts a film lasting a few minutes showing aerial views; as well as threelarge touch tables, which allow you to navigate among more than 200 past or current projects (such as metro line C) in all districts of Toulouse. The opportunity to see from above or up close all these (huge) construction sites which have shaken up (and which will still shake up) the city.

Themes addressed and a future to reflect on

Thanks to this ephemeral exhibition, it is also possible to explore < strong>major changes through four major themes that have marked the last ten years:

  • Develop the quality of life in neighborhoods,
  • Enhance heritage and public spaces,
  • Promote nature in the city,
  • Facilitate travel.

And obviously, the Occitan capital has not finished changing. This is why, in addition to looking ahead to the completed projects (green streets and squares, renovated heritage monuments, created cycle paths, etc.), Toulouse residents and other curious people will be in the front row to reflect on the changes of the future...

A traveling exhibition in several places in Toulouse

If the exhibition is to be discovered in a dome installed on the side of the Place du Capitole, it is also intended to be itinerant and will be present, in a different way, in different districts of Toulouse, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
