Mamma Mia! A new 100% gourmet trattoria!
Since March 6, 2024, Toulouse residents can have lunch, dinner or simply have an aperitif and a drink in a new address belonging to the Clan des Mamma: it is Gina, located rue Pharaon, on the Place du Salin side in the city center of Toulouse. It is therefore the group's second address, after the Valentina restaurant, located on rue Peyrolières in the Capitole district. Robin Chaperon, former director of Chéri Chériis at the head of this trattoria, which has a single objective: “making food to please people”. p>
And so as not to disappoint any gourmand, “we select the best products from all regions of Italy”, specifies the website of this trattoria.

A map that is both short and generous
All products are sourced by the Via del Sol group and thus ensure maximum quality, authenticity and freshness. “We work with people from Piedmont and an Italian chef”, Robin Chaperon also told us. Here, everything is entirely homemade and on site: from pizzas (whose dough has been lovingly kneaded for 48 hours) to different pastas, including the five dishes and more. ending with the desserts... Gina's teams are busy in the kitchens to bring out the cream of the Italian cream.
Even the cocktails are imagined by Mamma Gina, the same one who "delivers the Spritz with exclusive recipes, with basil, cucumber or even peach And the signature cocktail della Mamma with Limoncello, Prosecco and raspberry puree…".
<. h2 class="title">Dishes accessible to all and delicious
Thishyper-trendy placewants to be accessible to all, which is why “the prices don’t shock people” the manager tells us. In fact, count on €12. for the classic Margherita; black, smoked provola); €14.50 for Penne de la Mamma, those with Stracciatella, speck, all'Arrabbiata tomato sauce, basil and Grana Padano; or €15 for the eggplant gratin with Mozzarella Fior di Latte. Without forgetting the children who are entitled to their complete "Bambino" menu for €11.
The dessert menu is also tempting and reasonable with the small balls of fried pizza dough at Nocciolata at 7, 50 € and the famous (the one and only that goes away on its own, even after a big pizza) Tiramisu at 8 €.
A pep, vegetal and chic decor
Nothing is left to chance and everything catches the eye. Indeed, from the entrance, the decor is set and completely assumed: carpet, marble tables and bar, portrait of Gina, and a huge wall of hard liquor bottles on one side. In the back room, it's a colorful, eclectic atmosphere and just as exotic as the first since a green wall has been installed and on which should be installed the phrase of the house /strong>: "LA VITA È TROPPO BREVE PER MANGIARE E BERE MALE".
Two rooms (two atmospheres) which can accommodate no less than “70 place settings”. As for thefull sun terrace, full at peak times, it can accommodate 24 people seated, but the objective by the end of spring is “to double the volume from the terrace".
Gina, she's the safe bet of the neighborhood (otherwise called HQ), where we There you eat generous and delicious plates with accents of the Dolce Vita, where the menu does not make you dizzy and where you come away satisfied having eaten (well) enough! So, a little advice: remember to make reservations because the tables fill up quickly, especially with the arrival of sunny days...
