< h2 class="title">This concept store, the accomplishment of a life
"I always wanted to set up my store by adding a different universe of the one I have rubbed shoulders with until now: decoration", she confided to us, also hoping to energize this little piece of Toulouse.
Before retiring, Marie wanted to fulfill one of her biggest dreams, that of having her own shop. And so it was on Avenue Jean-Rieux, in the Côte Pavée district of Toulouse, that 'she settled down to open Nomad, a stylish concept store filled with local gems and moreover, original and colorful.
Daughter of A shopkeeper and passionate about her job since always, Marie wanted above all "a shop that resembles [her], to make people feel as if they were at home", because for her, the welcome Warm customer service is essential. With all its past experience in ready-to-wear, the adventure has been publicly launched since May 7, 2024.
A refined and pointed
"I attract a local clientele, especially those who come to the De Grande butcher's shop right next door. I even match their opening hours," Marie tells us, who 'is aimed more at a clientele aged between 40 and 99.
In her store, Marie therefore offers clothing and accessories for women from Italian and French brands, decorative objects, tableware directly from Morocco, Berber rugs, high-quality household linen… But also creations by local artisans like this collaboration she is doing with a From Toulouse called "Mademoiselle Céramique".
So that customers don't get bored, Marie assures us that the atmosphere of the store will change over the seasons with new brands, more extensive collections, and of course new designers from the region.
A warm and optimized place
"It's a dream come true, I'm finally at home.", Marie, owner of NOMAD, her concept store.
Completely renovated with the help of her husband, the premises are divided into three very distinct and optimized parts: clothing and accessories first, crockery in the middle and household linen at the end of the corridor, which is mainly arranged in custom-designed niches. A small, perfectly well-appointed room in which one feels good. "When you enter this shop I want people to feel comfortable", Marie told us, who seems to have fulfilled her bet.
After having been in charge of several high-end stores in the city center of Toulouse and nearing the end of her professional career, Marie therefore chose to emancipate herself and offer her own selections. A great challenge!
