Since Thursday April 4, 2024, a somewhat special boutique has been set up in the gallery of the museum of Slaughterhouses in Toulouse: Dressed. Created by Équipage Solidaire, an association which was created in 2020, it offers high-quality clothing to the most vulnerable students. The Toulouscope editorial team contacted a member of the STAFF and told you more about this unique solidarity initiative in the Pink City.
C' what is this (super) association?
Students serving students. Dressed, this is the first 100% free clothing store for precarious students imagined by the association l'Équipage Solidaire (already at the origin of Delivr'aide, which delivers meals and basic necessities kits). And after having seduced nearly 800 Parisians in need, she settled (finally) in Toulouse. On April 4, 2024, the Toulouse pop-up will take place in the heart of the Abattoirs museum and will open its doors every Thursday of the month (except school holidays) from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in order to help disadvantaged young people .
Quality clothing , new (or almost)
Here, no damaged, soiled or old clothes, as Alix, the communications manager in Toulouse told us, the teams – made up of 90% of students – collect “new (unsold) clothes or in perfect condition from large groups, brands, independents and individuals”.
It is therefore quite natural that the Toulouse Football Cœur, partner of the Équipage Solidaire, provides its support and intends to offer clothes from the TéFéCé boutique. Serge Blanco,Visionary(the brand of Bigflo and Oli) and the YouTuber Amixem are also participating in this human and charitable adventure.

How does it work?
Donors bring their clothes (adults only from XS to XXL) directly on site, before they are sorted by size and all put on hangers by the members from the Association. On the other hand, Alix explained to us: "We don't wash them, so we ask people to do so so that there are no bad smells, for example".
Once indexed, they are made available free of charge to the students concerned in the Abattoirs museum shop; where they are also stored during closing hours: "after 7 p.m., we put everything back in the room", specified Alix.
But be careful! If, for the moment, the place is open to all necessary students, itwill soon be necessary to be registered on the Délivr'aid website to have access to Dressed: dressed-shop.fr.
Whether you are a donor (note that financial donations are possible directly from the Solidarity Crew by specifying "Dressed") or students in demand, all you have to do is open the doors of Dressed.
