The Saint-Raymond Museum gives you an appointment with the History of Toulouse. This is the first large-scale exhibition devoted to this subject in France... From 1209 to 1229, the Languedoc region was shaken by a political and religious conflict: the crusade led by the Catholic Church against the Albigensians, but also the question of the so-called "Cathar" heresy. In this exhibition, rediscoverthe great events and twists which punctuated the period.To immerse yourself in history, more than300 period objectsare on display in the two exhibition locations:exceptional archive documents /strong>, unpublished archaeological objects, sculpted works or painted works, historical reconstruction equipment (costumes, weapons)… But also sound, digital and interactive devices.

Building on the success of the first participatory exhibition It's up to you in 2022, the Musée des Abattoirs is repeating the operation with young audiences! strong>From December 2023 to March 2024, Toulouse's little ones were able to vote for their favorite works, and elect the works for the next exhibition specially dedicated to children aged 3 to 11 years old <. em>"Fairly free in their judgments and emotions, nursery and primary school children are receptive to the world of art and the activities linked to it", explains the Museum.
