Tourmalet Pic du Midi is the (unmissable) corner of everything possible, just 1h30 from Toulouse . As proof, the Toulouscope editorial team reveals 4 completely unusual activities, to do alone, in pairs or with others (family, friends, colleagues, etc.), in the heart of this Pyrenees destination located between heaven and earth.
Trapper camp: (re)discover nature and the ancient know-how of trappers
Throughout this walk easy (accessible from 10 years old) organized over a day with or without snow, break times are provided to observe nature, recognize plants that can be used for eating and/or healing, reading animal tracks (in the earth, snow, on trees)...
A a real return to the sources and to the Paleolithic erarich in discoveries and initiations, since once arrived at the camp site, you also have to look for and collect wood and cut it in order to learn how to make a fire like 500,000 years ago... and of course make a hunter's arrow!

Sauvage Basketry: imagine a 100% natural object
It's a mountain outing that combines art with vegetation. Indeed, in addition to observing what surrounds you and what you walk on, you will have to look for and collect plants to weave them during the basketmaking workshop led by the professional, Sandy.< /p>
The opportunity to let yourself be guided in the heart of the Baronnies, off the beaten track and above all , to let your imagination and your wildest desires speak for themselves! Baskets, nesting boxes, hats, jewelry... it's up to you to create your own 100% natural object (and homemade) based on what was found in the Pyrenees.
A night under an igloo: live an experience of a lifetime
It's another unforgettable experience (but no less sporting) to live with family and in the company of Ghislain, mountain guide. After a short snowshoe hike, you will reach the bivouac area where you will have to build... your life-size igloo! Note that only children can benefit from a moment of break since although the activity is easy, it can be long and tiring.
Once built, the large and small Inuit for a day will be able to sleep in the igloo wrapped in a -20° sleeping bag provided by the teams organizers (just like snowshoes and poles). A timeless moment under the stars concluded by a gentle and wonderful awakening lost in a paradise setting. p>
The sunset at the Pic du Midi: admire the beauty of the landscape in music
What could be more beautiful than a sunset from the terraces of the Pic du Midi, at 2877 meters above sea level, facing the Pyrenees mountain range? To be admired from 5 p.m. and until the end, while enjoying the new winter entertainment: a DJ Lounge and the cocktail bar to spice up this magical moment with music.
During school holidays, the Pic du Midi visiting hours are extended (last cable car departure at 5 p.m. for the summit).
DJ evenings: every Wednesday evening during the February and March holidays with a final return from the Pic du Midi: 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from the 13th February to March 7, 2024.
