15 days of music and exception

"We want to celebrate life and music, we have in Toulouse the most intense musical season of all the cities in France, after Paris", declared elected official Nicole Yardeni about the a href="https://metropole.toulouse.fr/actualites/festival-de-toulouse" target="_self">Toulouse Festival which returns for a third year from June 29 to July 13 2024. For two weeks, almost every evening, Toulouse residents and other curious people will be able to enjoy an eclectic musical program, feasting their eyes, ears and taste buds since an organic artisanal ice cream parlor and a refreshment bar will be set up for guests. intermissions.

Just like previous seasons, the objective of this cultural event is therefore to create links during this summer period, between audiences of all ages and artists , but also to allow all generations to access culture.

If this 2024 edition pays tribute to the writer Françoise Sagan with the reading concert by Kim Higelin and Vanessa Benelli Mosell, it will also welcome a panel of musicians of all kinds and from all backgrounds .

Indeed, the musician and actor Kyle Eastwood will immerse spectators in the cinema of Clint (Eastwood) with the original soundtracks composed for his father, so called that Jean-François Zygel will take young and old into the magic of Walt Disney. For their part, Christophe Willem and Yvan Cassar will take over an iconic venue in the Pink Citytogive a unique concert specially designed for the Festival. While the prodigious Manon Galy (Victoire de la musique) will confront the 4 seasons of Vivaldi and their recomposition by Max Richter to offer a timeless moment and introduce classical music in a different way. p>

Prestigious places for the occasion

As for the previous season, the Festival de Toulouse has focused on typically regional and prestigious places. Indeed, the artists who responded will perform in exceptional venues such as the Théâtre du Capitole, the Théatre de la Cité, in the heart of the Saint-Pierre-des-Cuisines Auditorium or in the legendary Casino Théâtre Barrière.

In addition to new concerts, cultural actions will also be planned in different places in Toulouse. - Saturday June 29 from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Tatiana Gronti & Gospel Symphony Orchestra at the Casino Théâtre Barrière;
- Sunday June 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. : Reading concert with Kim Higelin (reciter) and Vanessa Benelli Mosell (piano) at the Auditorium Saint-Pierre-des-Cuisines. An evening in partnership with Le Martathon des Mots, “we are very proud to be associated with this national event”, confided Julien Martineau, Artistic Director of the Toulouse Festival;

- Monday July 1 from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Kyle Eastwood Quintet at the Théâtre de la Cité;
- Tuesday July 2 from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Jean-François Zygel meets Walt Disney at the Théâtre de la Cité;
- Thursday 4 and Friday 5 July from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: Carte blanche to Ibrahim Maalouf with the Orchester national du Capitole de Toulouse at the Théâtre de la Cité. "A creation in homage to Saint Exupéry and during which we reserve many surprises", promises the festival team;
