< p>Want to (re)discover the world of the farm, its products and producers? As part of the regional operation Fermes en Fête in Occitanie,organized on June 1 and 2, 2024 from 10 a.m., 24 farmsfrom Haute-Garonne < /strong>will open their doors and give you a warm welcome.Throughout this festive weekend, there will be something for everyone: visits to pig farms, pigs, cows , sheep, walks in the heart of the vineyards, orchards and gardens, entertainment for children and adults… Without forgetting the gourmet breaks offered by the tasting farms: farmers' markets, winegrowers' aperitifs , meal, picnic!
A varied and well-marked program
To facilitate task, a signage, going from Fronton to Saint-Gaudens via Toulouse, will take the participants from one place to another. Indeed, each zone has its own set of farms and its program< /a> :
- The 8 farms which make up the Toulouse circuit are very diverse: cultivation of cut flowers, horticulture (250 varieties of rose bushes garden), agriculture, outdoor animal breeding or even seasonal fruits and vegetables in AB…
- Among the 10 farmson the Comminges-Pyrénées circuit , many farms specialize in breeding (pigs, trout in organic farming, small herd of Normandy breed cows in Organic Farming, Angora goats to produce Mohair, Lacaune breed dairy sheep …) but also in cheese making, spirulina, horse riding, beekeeping and agriculture.
- The 3 farms of the Volvestre circuit are, for their part, dedicated to agroforestry, beekeeping and unusual accommodation.
- The Lauraguais circuit has 3 farms: the Moulin de la Cante Caille (family grain farm in Agriculture Biologique), Les Jardins de Saint-Sernin (free-pick market gardening and fruit farming) and the Ferme et Fromagerie de Cabriole (raising goats and cows, cheeses and other dairy products).
Note that all these establishments involved in the event will offer intergenerational activities or traditional meals (by reservation) on Saturday and/or Sunday.
