The largest lake in Gers and Haute-Garonne is located in Saint-Blancard, 60 kilometers from Toulouse. For the past year, three partners have given the leisure center a boost. On the program: a host of water activities, ultra-local catering, concerts and accommodation with a view of the mountains.

Roast chicken and locally sourced products on the menu
Among the gems of the place we find: the homemade burgers with Pyrenees blue cheese and local meat, the tomato and fresh goat's cheese salad, a 100% Occitan ramen, a Pyrenees trout puff pastry… But be careful, the menu changes regularly! Keep an eye on social networks Lac de La Gimone!
The menu changes every week, but every Sunday, it's roast chicken (from Ferme Un Air de Campagne, 31), and fries. You can eat at Lac de La Gimone from Tuesday evening to Sunday evening (the bar is open all week, try the local apple juice or the homemade lemonade on tap). Emilie, the bubbly conductor of the kitchen, creates her menus with organic market gardeners and other local artisans, depending on the harvests. All are located within a maximum radius of 20 kilometers around the lake! Ultra-local sourcing: Marie and Barthélémy of the Jardins de Samadet, the Ferme de Naroques, the’Atelier des deux fermes, or the Jardin des Deux Amants…
Concerts on Friday evenings, chalets for rent, private events, etc.
Teddy Perrette, co-manager of Lac de la Gimone: "We worked to promote this magnificent place with local stakeholders. We also have great offers to accommodate larger groups throughout the year"...
Every Friday, live concerts brighten up the evening. And to extend the nature getaway, the place is home to a dozen chalets available for rental, as well as a campervan and tent space. All this just an hour's drive from Toulouse! The high season started in June with a very friendly team and will end in September. But don't panic, the Gimone lake remains open all year and can be privatized for works councils, bachelorette parties, family gatherings, or associations.
